Local exponential H2 stabilization of a 2 × 2 quasilinear hyperbolic system using backstepping

چکیده
In this work, we consider the problem of boundary stabilization for a quasilinear 2 × 2 system of first-order hyperbolic PDEs. We design a new full-state feedback control law, with actuation on only one end of the domain, which achieves H2 exponential stability of the closedloop system. Our proof uses a backstepping transformation to find new variables for which a strict Lyapunov function can be constructed. The kernels of the transformation are found to verify a Goursat-type 4 × 4 system of first-order hyperbolic PDEs, whose well-posedness is shown using the method of characteristics and successive approximations. Once the kernels are computed, the stabilizing feedback law can be explicitly constructed from them.

Local Exponential H Stabilization of a 2× 2 Quasilinear Hyperbolic System using Backstepping
We consider the problem of boundary stabilization for a quasilinear 2×2 system of first-order hyperbolic PDEs. We design a full-state feedback control law, with actuation on only one end of the domain, and prove local H exponential stability of the closed-loop system. The proof of stability is based on the construction of a strict Lyapunov function. The feedback law is found using the recently ...
متن کاملControl of a Hyperchaotic System Via Generalized Backstepping Method
This paper investigates on control and stabilization of a new hyperchaotic system. The hyperchaotic system is stabilized using a new technique which called Generalized Backstepping Method (GBM). Because of its similarity to Backstepping approach, this method is called GBM. But, this method is more applicable in comparison with conventional Backstepping. Backstepping method is used only for sy...
متن کاملBackstepping stabilization of an underactuated 3 × 3 linear hyperbolic system of fluid flow equations
We investigate the boundary stabilization of a particular subset of 3×3 linear hyperbolic systems with varying coefficients on a bounded domain. The system is underactuated since only one of the three hyperbolic PDEs is actuated at the boundary. The setup considered in the paper occurs in control of multiphase flows on oil production systems. We use a backstepping approach to design a full-stat...
متن کاملControl of 2× 2 Linear Hyperbolic Systems: Backstepping-Based Trajectory Generation and PI-Based Tracking
We consider the problems of trajectory generation and tracking for general 2 × 2 systems of first-order linear hyperbolic PDEs with anti-collocated boundary input and output. We solve the trajectory generation problem via backstepping. The reference input, which generates the desired output, incorporates integral operators acting on advanced and delayed versions of the reference output with ker...

In this Note, we review the main existing results, methods, and some key open problems on the controllability of nonlinear hyperbolic and parabolic equations. Especially, we describe our recent universal approach to solve the local controllability problem of quasilinear time-reversible evolution equations, which is based on a new unbounded perturbation technique. It is also worthy to mention th...
